About

We live out our founding principles of hard work and excellent customer service.

What began in 1993 with a single engineer and a desire to serve customers with the utmost expertise and care became the Altavista Instruments & Controls of today. Our founder, Bill Jackson, mentored younger engineers, Jim Wertz and Jordan Maddy, so well that they asked if they could buy the company and keep it going. Job one in keeping it going has been continuing to build an unmatched team of professional automation specialists.

Today we serve companies across many different industries.

We began our business primarily serving the nutritional supplement industry, and have since expanded into local government, water & waste-water treatment, fiberglass manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, plastic fabrication, clothing manufacturing, corrugated packaging, printing, pulp and paper, and many others.
